ABOUT KALKAN

It’s easy to see why so many people fall in love with Kalkan. It’s a former fishing village turned pretty Mediterranean resort, once described by the Guardian as “the Italian Riviera without the poseurs!”

Kalkan has miraculously escaped mass tourism and there are no sprawling high-rise hotels or huge tourist resorts, it’s far more sophisticated and refined. A lot of the village life revolves around the harbour, where traditional gulets come and go, and there’s a good selection of shops, bistros and bars stretching up from the front. There’s a wide range of properties on offer in Kalkan and its suburbs, most offering fabulous sea views from their elevated locations.

Kalkan can be reached in just over an hour from Fethiye, and Dalaman International Airport the closest and 100km from the town (approx 2 hours).
